Julia joined our team in 2017 bringing with her, many years of diverse experience in companion animal medicine. She has practiced and excelled in emergency medicine/intensive care, dermatology, hydrotherapy/rehabilitation & general small animal practice.
Julia started her formal career as an Animal Care Attendant in 2006. In 2010, she was an inaugural member of the first graduating class of Veterinary Technicians from Sheridan College, and became registered with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians shortly after.
Julia enjoys all aspects of her career as an RVT, but particularly enjoys critical patient care & small animal nutrition.
She’s passionate about continuing education and academics, and offers her spare time to tutor future veterinarians and veterinary technician students. She frequently attends courses to continuously enhance and advance her own knowledge and skills which equips her to better to serve & educate our pet-paw-rents!
Julia & hubby Andrew, are cat parents to “O’Mally” the distinguished Scottish Fold & handsome tabby-cat “Foster”, who, according to Julia’s completely unbiased opinion, are the poster children of perfection for the entire feline species.
Outside of her duties at the hospital, Julia spends a lot of her time in the gym and is usually planning her next road trip adventure or exotic vacation!
