Destiny has been obsessed with all things furry & feathered since she was just a wee girl. Destiny has consistently coexisted with a variety of pets in her home & she grew up surrounded by hamsters, turtles, fish, hedgehogs, cats and dogs – her own little zoo! Destiny was aware, from a young age, that her ‘destiny’ was to be able to provide care & comfort to animals in any and every capacity possible.
Destiny attended & graduated Seneca College’s Veterinary Assistant Certificate program in 2021. Shortly after beginning her journey as an Animal Care Attendant here at BAH, she was inspired to further her career and education – and was accepted back to Seneca College to attend their Veterinary Technician Program – AND WE ARE SUPER PROUD OF HER! Destiny will commence her formal training to become an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) fall 2022 – and will continue to upgrade her technical skills and training while working here at the hospital! Destiny is an incredibly empathetic and caring person who puts the needs and comfort of our patients at the forefront of her priorities. She always makes time to snuggle and show each and every pet that enters our care a little extra love & attention.
While not immersed deeply in learning the ‘ins & outs’ of veterinary medicine, Destiny is a die-hard Harry Potter fan, and moonlights as a wizard! She currently shares her home & heart with Gemma; an 8 year old Rottweiler & Lottie the cockatiel.
