Our surgery suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We are equipped with a CO2 laser unit which allows us to perform chosen procedures with less pain and a faster healing time.
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or higher-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient’s vital signs are monitored before, during and immediately after all anesthetic procedures.
Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment with automatic processing allow us to provide your pet with rapid, high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We also offer access to a radiologist who comes onsite as required to perform diagnostic ultrasounds and assist with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.
Illness doesn’t always have a physical cause. More pets are euthanized in this country for behavioural problems than for any physical disorder. Behavioral consultations may be scheduled for the development of a behavior modification program for your pet’s particular problem. We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.
We provide ECG Services on-site. We are also equipped to transmit ECG’s online to faciliatate consultation with the cardiologist.
Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.
We extensively utilize a commercial reference veterinary laboratory for testing and consultations.
With our state of the art applanation tonometer, we are able to quickly and easily screen for this multifactorial disease which causes a rise in pressure within the eyeball. Untreated glaucoma may lead to blindness.
We offer microchip detection, implantation and activation services.
We maintain a broad inventory of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, shampoos, parasite-control products and heart worm preventives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets. We have access to compounding pharmacists who are able to create customized medications to suit specific patient situations.
We will provide guidance regarding your pet’s nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. We are well-equipped to provide short- and medium-term care to elderly or chronically ill pets especially those who require medication. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.
Routine and theraputic bathing and grooming services are available.
After-hours care is capably provided at either of the two veterinary Emergency Clinics located in Toronto. Before your pet is discharged from the emergency clinic, we are contacted to go over the details of your pet’s care.
Hospice / Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friends is always difficult. We work compassionately with our clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity are held to the highest degree. Services include taking in-home euthansia and arranging for care of your pet’s remains as directed by you.
